What this site is
Tree Loppers Perth is a website, not a tree crew. It exists to put people who need tree work in touch with Four Seasons Tree Service, the independent contractor we partner with and the business that actually does the cutting. That is stated in the footer of every page and set out in full in the disclaimer, and it belongs here rather than buried in the legals.
The practical version: you call or send an enquiry, Four Seasons gets in touch, attends the property, quotes the job onsite and carries out the work. The quote is theirs. The insurance is theirs. The agreement for the job is between you and them, and we are not a party to it. We are not on the property, we do not supervise anything, and we do not inspect their gear, audit their cover or verify their qualifications on your behalf — which is exactly why the advice on this site never changes: ask to see the certificate of currency before anyone starts cutting.
What this site is for, then, is the part that can be done honestly from a desk. Working out which council you are in, what the ground is likely to be, what the tree probably is, and roughly what moves the price, so that the conversation with a quoting crew starts from something better than guesswork.
Two locations, two numbers
The business runs as two locations, and each has its own line.
Tree Loppers South Perth takes the metropolitan work on (08) 9516 2804 — the river suburbs around South Perth and Booragoon, the limestone country through Fremantle and Cockburn, the sand-plain estates inland at Canning Vale and Gosnells, and the coastal strip down through Kwinana, Baldivis and Rockingham to Secret Harbour.
Tree Loppers Mandurah takes the Peel end on (08) 9515 4932, from 78 Reserve Dr, Mandurah WA 6210. If the job is around the estuary, the canals or inland toward Pinjarra, start on the Mandurah page and use that number.
It is one arrangement with the same contractor either way. The split is about geography, not two different businesses, and calling the closer of the two just saves a step.
Why the local detail matters here
Perth is not a generic tree-work market and a national call centre will not know the difference. Three things make it specific.
First, the ground. Almost all of the metro area sits on Swan Coastal Plain sand, with limestone appearing as you move west toward the coast and clay over granite as you climb the Darling Scarp at Armadale, Gosnells and Kalamunda. Sand means stump grinding is quick and full root-plate removal is a realistic option rather than a heroic one.
Second, the law. Western Australia has no statewide tree preservation order. Each local government writes its own rules, and many Perth councils regulate private trees far more lightly than their equivalents in Victoria or New South Wales. But Melville and Fremantle both run significant tree registers, subdivision conditions and covenants catch some newer estates, and street trees on the verge are council property everywhere. Which council you are in decides all of it, which is why the service areas page is organised by council rather than by postcode.
Third, the species and the season. Marri, jarrah, tuart, WA peppermint and a very large population of planted lemon-scented gums. The gums drop limbs in still summer heat, the easterlies and the storm fronts behind them bring the rest down, and the hills fringe carries a genuine bushfire fuel obligation every year under the local firebreak notice.
What you will and will not find here
You will find it said out loud when a tree may not need to come out. Plenty of removal enquiries are really a crown reduction or deadwooding job, and the pages here say so even though a removal is the bigger invoice.
You will not find topping offered. Cutting a healthy mature eucalypt back to stubs to make it shorter produces fast, weakly attached regrowth that fails in the next strong easterly, and you pay twice — once for the cut, once for the failure. Where height genuinely has to come off, it is done as a reduction to suitable laterals, and that is explained on the tree lopping page.
You will not find star ratings or testimonials we cannot substantiate. The previous version of this site carried a wall of them. They are gone. You also will not find us claiming crews, machinery, arborist qualifications, accreditations, insurance or years in the trade as our own, because none of those belong to a website. They belong to Four Seasons Tree Service, and they are theirs to show you when they quote.
Getting in touch
Call (08) 9516 2804 for anything from South Perth down to Secret Harbour, or (08) 9515 4932 for Mandurah and the Peel. You can also use the contact page — include the suburb, roughly what the tree is and what is underneath it. Photos help. If you want the pricing conversation first, read the cost guide, and there is more background on Perth tree care in the blog.
Frequently asked questions
Who actually turns up to do the work?
Four Seasons Tree Service. Tree Loppers Perth is a referral website, so the crew, the truck and the chipper belong to them, not to us. They attend the property, quote the job onsite and carry out the work, and the agreement for that work is made between you and them. We are not a party to it and we are not on site.
Why are there two phone numbers?
Because the business operates as two locations. Tree Loppers South Perth handles the metropolitan run on (08) 9516 2804, and Tree Loppers Mandurah covers the Peel region on (08) 9515 4932 from 78 Reserve Dr, Mandurah WA 6210. Use whichever is closer to your job. Both reach the same arrangement with Four Seasons Tree Service, so it only decides who is nearest.
What should I ask before work starts?
Three things, and ask for the first two as documents rather than a verbal yes. A current public liability certificate of currency, workers compensation cover for anyone climbing or operating machinery, and whether the quote includes the stump and the removal of debris. Four Seasons Tree Service holds that paperwork, not us, so it is theirs to show you.
Do you handle council applications?
Where one is needed, Four Seasons will tell you what your council requires and can usually prepare the application. In much of Perth no application is needed at all for a tree on private land, because Western Australia has no statewide tree preservation order. Verge trees are the constant exception and always sit with the local council.
What areas are actually covered?
The core patch is south of the Swan River, from South Perth and Booragoon through Fremantle, Cockburn, Canning Vale and Armadale, and down the coast through Kwinana, Baldivis, Rockingham and Secret Harbour to Mandurah. Jobs north and east of the river are covered too, with travel reflected in the quote.
